My Turn to Ask for Help

My cross stitch is growing and it is so relaxing to do..
BUT once again ( I never learn do I it has happened before)  the red thread has marked the white linen
Is there is a way to stop this ? if so  I would love to hear it

The other way out I am thinking is to dye the fabric after it is finished, may be light tea dye or  weak beetroot juice... red currant / cranberry juice ...   may be you have a good natural dye tip. Or can think of a colour that  I could dye the fabric that would work with the red which is DMC 115 variegated.

Oh dear, such a shame after all your hard work. I don't have a solution for you but what about contacting the thread makers they may have a suggestion - just a thought.

Laurie, I don't know of a way to keep the thread from marking the fabric. But maybe you could soak it in some cold water with a little mild detergent after you are finished stitching. That might just take the red marks out. But, the idea of hand dying the fabric sounds wonderful too - bet it would look great. Good luck, and can't wait to see what you do with it.
