While we were in Dubai we made friends with a lovely couple Tika and Phil and their delightful twins Neisha and Isobel.
Tika comes from Nepal but was bought up in Hong Kong .... her father was a Gurkha and stayed in Hong Kong after the war.
Living in HK many people do not need to drive and Tika was one of these that never learnt.
Now living in Dubai it is almost imperative that you drive, so she took lessons and managed very well and was ready to take her test.
I can not count the times Tika took her test.
She felt she was discriminated against as she was a female when she took her tests.
But today I recieved this photo.......
