Lovely Concert Sunday afternoon

This afternoon I went to the concert given by the Auckland Symphony Orchestra here in Rotorua, conducted by Peter Thomas  ...  "Orchestra Favourites"
Tunes and works well known to everyone, including the " Themes to Harry Potter films also Star Wars"

The symphony Orchestra is community-based orchestra was formed in 1975 by its musical director, Gary Daverne. The players are drawn from all parts of Auckland and from all walks of life. The orchestra provides an opportunity to musicians who have chosen a career outside music, to enjoy weekly rehearsals of symphonic music, playing without payment and purely for the pleasure of making good music together. The orchestra also supports local young soloists, giving them the opportunity to perform with a full symphony orchestra, in concert. The orchestras main philosophy is that music should be fun and enjoyed by players and audiences alike hence the regular free concerts given in towns that would not normally see large orchestras.
It was wonderful to see children in the audience, they were all very well behaved and some were as young as 3 or 4 yrs old.
