New Zealand Lamb

Over the years I have lived in NZ I have always complained about the fact that you can buy the best NZ Lamb overseas, cheaper than we can here at home, and we grow it.
In Dubai we were paying less that $7 a kilo, why!  was my question do we not get good lamb at home.?   of course the answer is  EXPORT it is all sent overseas...
