Lunch Time Concerts

One of the local churches in town puts on concerts on a Friday Lunchtime from time to time.... I have been to a few...... pianists, singers, choirs, orchestras and chamber groups...they are very good and last just 1 hour starting at 12 noon so people working in town can come along in their lunch hour... a great idea beats a coffee shop.
For $6 you get a sandwich lunch with lovely baked goods and as much tea and coffee as you like.
Today's concert was a group of singers all from Rotorua, none of them are youngsters and some of them I believe teach music etc. in local schools.

from left to right we have Marlene, Evelyn, Sue and Tania
Today's concert was " Blue's and Swing,"
a most enjoyable hour...  there was a lot of foot tapping and heads swinging in the audience, from the picture I took  it looks like they are having a great time as well.

Sounds like the sort of thing I'd enjoy, just having it for one hour would suit me too. It's a lovely idea.

Can you let me know the name of the quilt design you showed on 22 Feb, please Laurie, if you know what it's called. It is a lovely design and I'd like to have a go at a small one.

Thanks very much for the quilt info Laurie.

Also, thanks for the recipe, I wasn't sure what sort of thing you can put in a diabetic cake so this is very useful, I think anyone would like this cake anyway.
