Wednesday is a complicated day

Wednesday is my Embroidery Guild day has been for 8 years
We meet from 9.30am through to 9.00pm or any part of the day you wish to attend.
The training for the Guide at the Museum clashes as it is a Wednesday also, but never mind I attend training in the morning till 12 noon and then go on to Guild, so I pack the car with various bags for each place I will be attending.
Today started great I was up early and ready early, no rushing or panics.
I duly did the training drove to Guild and looked for my stitching bag...whoops left it by the front door where I put it the evening before so as not to forget it in the morning .....So I have had to come home and will return to Guild for the evening session.
I think I will go back to the rushing and panics it seems to work better.

Hello again to the Car

I must say Hyundai have been really good through all this
I would thoroughly recommend them here in Rotorua.
Thanks guys

Aqua Jogging to help climb a mountain

I realise it is important to try and keep fit but I have great
difficulty in running as I suffer with asthma on exertion,
I tried aerobics classes and basically became bored
and intimidated by the leotard swathed beauties,
the gym does not do a lot for me either although
I do like using a jogging machine.

I am quite happy in the water and will happily swim around
although I am not that strong a swimmer
While at the pool a few years ago there was a group Aqua Jogging
and I thought "Yes" that's for me.
So I have been exercising this way on and off for years,
but I must admit that I have been remiss in going for months now

but today I got up early and into my track suit and off to the pool
it was great and I enjoyed it, so my aim is 3 times a week.
There is also an Aqua aerobics class at the pool
so that will be on the timetable as well.

All this is the start of training for a "Real Women's Race"
to take place in February 2010
This consists of a 10km bike ride and a 5km walk......
My neighbour Lynne is taking part as well.
This does not sound like to much
but when you have done nothing in the way of exercise
for approx. 2 yrs ....it is like climbing a mountain

Another thoughtful email

Sometimes I get all sorts of emails, some go straight to the garbage bin others I pass on
This one I thought I would pass on via the blog.

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; They don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors,Filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'and get their answer when a littleVoice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mummy to Mum to Mother....

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mummy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mum knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!
35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mum's opinion.....
45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mum.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries,
or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows,
and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

The Car

A few folk have mentioned the fact that may be
I should not accept the car after these problems.

But....

I have spoken to various people
and the people in the car industry
( mechanics included from other auto places)
all said go with this vehicle, it has been checked
more than any car that ever left a factory

As long as every thing that has happened is documented
They suggest when I accept the car a letter is written to Hyundai
making sure they understand every thing that has gone on.
Also under what conditions I accept the car.

The car will still be completely warranted,
and I am sure the dealership will be very attentive.
I must say that so far I can not fault them
I have heard from them daily
and they have kept me up to date with every move.
They even took me to the work shop to talk to the mechanics
who also suggested I accept this car for the same reasons as above.
But ....
if there is anyone out there who can put a different view please contact me.

Just a thought

To realize
The value of a sister/brother
Ask someone who doesn't have one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when
You can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:
Lose one

Just remember....
Hold on tight to the ones you love

Car Update

Okay, you can sit down and have a nice cup of tea, read a book or sew.
The car needs a whole new engine transmission

The Dealers have assured me this is the best and only way to go.
What went wrong between the computer
and the engine actually "duffed up " the transmission

They showed me the oil taken from it when they had removed the transmission
it was black and full of metal filings, this was not a good picture,
it should have been a nice shade of pink and clear
so a few more days till the transmission arrives
and they assure me it will be given priority
They have also upgraded the loan car
to a large Mitsibishi with petrol vouchers....and I should think so as well.
